On September 27, 2024, Panasonic Industrial Devices Philippines Corporation (PIDPH) held a workshop on reducing CO2 for administrative staff, teachers, and student leaders of the Jacobo Z. Gonzales Memorial School of Arts and Trade (JZGMSAT), a school certified under the Philippines' Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

PIDPH Director Mary Ann Seriosa and Reynaldo Acas Jr. of the facility management sector began by introducing Panasonic's renewable energy project. Next, Hillary Domingo of the facility management sector gave a lecture on basic knowledge about CO2 and how to measure its emissions. The participants then split up into six groups to think of concrete ideas for the school to reduce CO2. Each group used the calculation method they had been taught to work out the total power consumption and CO2 emissions per hour of the electrical appliances most in use by the school, then presented ways to reduce these and the expected benefits.

The participants realized through this workshop how simple everyday actions can greatly contribute to lowering global CO2 emissions. They also learned that the ideas they came up with can be used at their homes as well as at the school. The participants, who ああreceived certificates from PIDPH, were content after the workshop with what they had learned and realized anew. PIDPH hopes to continue to contribute to improving people's lives and contributing to social development through its business operations and community contribution activities.
