AI-Powered Outreach Classes in Schools Nationwide Ahead of EXPO 2025 Opening in April
Our employees involved in promoting the Expo serve as instructors
Panasonic Group has started outreach classes in schools throughout Japan from November 2024 as part of the EXPO School Caravan activities promoted by the Cabinet Secretariat. Employees involved in promoting the Expo form teams to conduct these classes, and by the end of February, they had conducted classes in nine schools.

What is the EXPO School Caravan?
The EXPO School Caravan is an initiative aimed at encouraging school children throughout Japan to consider societies of tomorrow and to take action for the future, taking the opportunity of the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan opening in April. In FY2024, companies exhibiting and sponsoring the Expo, including our group, conducted classes in around 200 elementary, junior high, high school, and special needs schools.
Imagining the Future with AI!?
In our group's classes, we conduct workshops where children imagine and create the future with AI. Children set themes in groups, brainstorm ideas, and transform characters born from materials called "Matemon" using generative AI software.
Initially, the children struggled to give proper prompts and couldn't transform Matemon as they wanted, but through repeated trial and error, they were able to create unique Matemon.

Our group has been conducting various co-creation activities with children even before the Expo period to provide opportunities to unlock their infinite potential. We will continue to implement various initiatives to make the future of children, who will lead the next generation, richer and more hopeful.
