Vietnam: Achieving 1 Million Trees Planted with Customers, Partners, and Employees
In December 2024, Panasonic Vietnam (PV) achieved 1 million trees planted with customers, partners, and employees, a target set in 2022. This accomplishment makes PV the fastest foreign company to plant 1 million trees in Vietnam within three years. From 2022 to 2024, a total of 1,346,390 trees were planted across 27 provinces in Vietnam. According to estimates by Vietnam Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment (MONRE), this initiative is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 120,000 tons over the next ten years.
Environmental Activities (ECO RELAY) Started in 2013 as Part of Community Contribution Activities
To promote healthy living and sustainable development for Vietnamese people, PV has a vision of providing total wellness solutions. In its CSR activities, PV focuses on two main areas: education and the environment. In the environmental field, in addition to efforts towards the target of 1 billion trees set by Vietnamese Prime Minister, PV and its employees have been engagingin various environmental activities (ECO RELAY) such as tree planting since 2013 as part of its community contribution activities.
More than 1000 children have participated in environmental classes at junior high schools.

Tree Planting Program "Live Wellness, Contribute Green"
Since 2022, PV has launched its first tree planting program "Live Wellness, Contribute Green," which allows customers and partners to participate. When customers purchase a specific Panasonic product, one tree is planted per product.
MONRE collaborates with PV as a special advisor for tree planting, supporting the sharing of the total number of trees planted and the growth of the trees with customers via the internet. To date, hundreds of thousands of customers have regularly monitored the growth of the trees and have shared the importance of green and healthy living with PV.

Through these efforts, PV has achieved the record-breaking milestone of planting 1 million trees at an unprecedented speed, thanks to the ECO RELAY activities with employees and the tree planting program with customers and partners.
