Supporting Environmental Conservation with Eco-Friendly Vacuum Cleaners
Panasonic Marketing Japan Co., Ltd. (PMJ) has been marketing the MC-NS10KE, a separate-type cordless stick vacuum cleaner designed with environmental considerations at every stage --from manufacturing and purchasing to disposal--since December 2023.
The product incorporates eco-friendly initiatives at each stage:
- Manufacturing: Uses recycled plastic materials
- Purchasing: Donates a portion of sales to environmental conservation activities
- Disposal: Offers free collection and recycling of used
A portion of sales is donated to support activities of the Kodomo Eco Club, operated by the Japan Environment Association, a public interest incorporated foundation. The club operates nationwide with the aim of fostering children's appreciation for nature and developing their ability to think independently and take action to address environmental issues.
In particular, PMJ's support has contributed to the operation of the Kodomo Eco Club National Festival, where children present the results of their activities and interact with one another, as well as the production of the Program & Interview Note, which records what they learn and observe. Through these efforts, Panasonic is working to create mechanisms that enable everyday product purchases to contribute to environmental conservation.

Additionally, on May 8, PMJ held a meeting with the Japan Environment Association to review its FY2025 activities and exchange views, confirming how its support has been utilized in children's activities and discussing future initiatives.
