On March 2, Panasonic Corporation's Beauty and Personal Care Business Division, together with the Corporate Citizenship Office of Panasonic Holdings Corporation, held a joint briefing session for the FY2025 "Preserving Marine Resources" initiative, in collaboration with the certified NPO Earthwatch Japan, the NPO Arakawa River Clean-aid Forum, and the Nature Conservation Society of Japan.

Since September 2023, the division has been supporting organizations working to reduce marine plastic waste by donating a portion of the sales of the Nanoe Hair Dryer EH-NA0K. As in the previous year, a total of 10 million yen was donated to these organizations in FY2025. The briefing session covered how the donations were used and shared information about environmentally conscious product development, fostering mutual understanding among participants.

Alongside donations, employees are actively participating in environmental conservation activities.

In Tokyo's Arakawa River area, with support from the Arakawa River Clean-aid Forum, river cleanups have been conducted continuously since 2023. These activities involve collecting waste that would otherwise flow into the ocean, as well as learning about the causes of river litter.

In March, employees also carried out beach cleaning and wildlife observation at Tokyo's Kasai Marine Park. Experts from the Nature Conservation Society of Japan provided lectures on the current state of microplastics and the organisms inhabiting tidal flats.

Furthermore, through Earthwatch Japan's environmental DNA-based fish survey, participants collected seawater samples near their homes and contributed data used for biodiversity conservation and fisheries resource management.
