The Panasonic Education Foundation held the final screening and awards ceremony for the 2024 Presentation Contest at the Panasonic Center Tokyo on December 17, 2024.

Ten finalists chosen from the elementary and junior high school categories delivered three-minute presentations using a presentation tool on the topic of inspiration that changed their thinking and behavior through encounters with people, personal experiences, and becoming fascinated in working on something.

The panel reviewed the presentations on that day to decide one first-prize winner, one runner-up, and three encouragement awards for of each category. An awards ceremony was then held.

Comments from the children's teachers, observing school stakeholders, and panel members

  • "This is an excellent initiative that serves as an opportunity for growth for the children."
  • "I'd like to know how to structure a curriculum that nurtures students capable of delivering such outstanding presentations."
  • "I could see how much the children had developed in these final presentations, such as how they maintained eye contact with the judges and made a strong effort to convey their messages."
  • "Presentations often tend to focus on the techniques involved, but much can be learned from respect for others and the presentations of others. Discussions to talk about each other's presentations can also further expand the takeaways."

We will continue to support both with ICT and emotionally those involved in education in schools and local communities to ensure the healthy growth of the children who will shape the future.
