Philippines: Donation to Orphanage and Elderly Home

There are many ways to express gratitude towards our community during Christmas season. Some find it in preparing presents for each of their family members. Others fulfill it by sharing their blessings to the less fortunate ones. But regardless of whatever way they convey their gratefulness, it is all appreciated as it is meant to make everyone happy.

The Panasonic Industrial Devices Philippines Corporation (PIDPH) is no stranger to giving and helping especially during the yuletide season. Last December 27, 2024, PIDPH Director Ms. Mary Ann Seriosa, together with union officers and PIDPH staffs visited their first adopted orphanage, the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Children's Home, located in the old town of Taal, Batangas to personally deliver the boxes of groceries, foam mattresses, stand fans, and lunch packs donated by employees and the company.

Without fail, the children are joyous over the presents they received from PIDPH and its employees. As always, Christmas carols and dances were performed by the children with smiles in their faces. After the fun performance, packed lunches were served.

After lunchtime, PIDPH next visited the Mary Mother of Mercy, Home of Elderly and Abandoned at San Pedro, Laguna for the elderly women. Groceries, meals, and special gifts were also given to the joyful seniors. While chatting and catching up with the seniors, an impromptu song and dance number were given by PIDPH employees, including Ms. Seriosa, which made the elderlies even happier. Afterwards, their packed meals were served.

Despite the struggle in preparation and distance, to be able to express gratitude by sharing our blessings to our adopted homes, is truly a rewarding and fulfilling experience. No amount of money could ever pay the genuine smile and grateful eyes you see in the faces of children and seniors we help.
