The pine grove conservation event took place on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Uminonakamichi Seaside Park in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Some 50 people involved with the Panasonic Group joined the event. This event was organized by a local NPO called Hakata Yume Matsubara no Kai and has been ongoing since 1987. Uminonakamichi Seaside Park is situated on Umi no Nakamichi, a sandbar connected to the mainland and surrounded by Hakata Bay and the Genkai Sea. It is one of Japan's 100 Best Beaches with White Sand and Blue Pine. The Panasonic Group began taking part in this event from 2009 through the Kyushu Panasonic Family Association* as part of environmental conservation activities  for future generations. The events are held in every March and November.

*  Panasonic Family Associations are organizations created by bringing together neighboring operating companies of the Panasonic Group. They are independently active in their own region in efforts to aid local communities.

In total 190 people including members of several companies and student volunteers joined the event. From the Panasonic Group, employees of the companies belong to the Kyushu Panasonic Family Association, their family members and friends, and former employees of the Shokyukai and Panasonic Shoaikai joined to thin out black pine trees, clear the ground by raking pine needles, and do other maintenance tasks to preserve the pine groves.
