Japan: Social Good Meetup for Employees Themed on Nursing Care
On September 25 an online Social Good Meetup (SGM) for employees titled "Assuring Your Future: Essential Knowledge and Key Points for Using Nursing Care Insurance" was held with 189 people attending.
This SGM was held to provide a beginner-level introduction to nursing care. Yasuaki Kawashima of Panasonic AGE-FREE Co., Ltd. and Ryusuke Maeda and Satoko Sakuta, who work in the front lines in comprehensive regional support centers for the elderly and elsewhere, were invited to speak about the outline of age-free business, the roles of these support centers, and how they can be employed.
They also gave presentations from the viewpoints of care managers on how to utilize nursing care services and about such care in general.
A questionnaire held after the meeting found that half those attending want to access more information about nursing care, indicating the high level of interest in this topic among employees. Further SGMs will be planned taking into account such needs of employees.
