Vietnam: KWN Kids Report and Domestic Awards Ceremony Held
On July 3 Panasonic Vietnam Co., Ltd. (PV) held its first kids report for schools participating in Kid Witness News (KWN) with 80 students attending. KWN is a program for educational support through video creation of the Panasonic Group that is active globally. This fiscal year about 4,000 children from 11 countries are participating in the program.
Kids reports are a type of workshop held in Japan where children go to where news actually happens to try making their own report as if they were themselves journalists. This event is the first to be held outside Japan.
This kids report by PV was held in Panasonic's own factory. The children went on a tour for the production process and interviewed workers to experience the realities and fascination of manufacturing.

An award ceremony for the KWN contest was held on August 24 in Vietnam with around 200 students, teachers, and parents attending. The top awards were decided for the primary and secondary categories* respectively after careful reviews, and the two teams (schools) to attend the global summit on October 26 were chosen.
- The primary category is for children aged up to 12 years old;
the secondary category is for those aged 13 to 18.
