Japan: NPO/NGO Support Pro Bono Program Result Report Meeting Held

Panasonic Group held a result report meeting for the FY2023 Panasonic NPO/NGO Support Pro Bono Program on February 7 with 80 employees participating.

The Pro Bono Program helps NPOs and NGOs to expand their operations through teams of volunteer employees using the skills and experience honed through their work. Since its start in 2011 a total of 392 employees have supported 66 organizations. In FY2023 28 employees helped five organizations receiving support.

At the result report meeting each team presented the process of the pro bono activities they worked on for approximately half a year and their final proposals, such as activity management manuals, marketing documents, new ways of managing donations, and project assessments. Representative Director Ikuma Saga of Service Grant, which is a partner in this program, commented that "The Panasonic Group's Pro Bono Program each year delivers rich outcomes to organizations and deepens relationships of trust with them and connections within the teams."

In the questionnaire for participants after the result report meeting approximately 90%* answered that they would like to participate in the program, indicating that the meeting had fanned the interest of many people.
