China:Employees Take Part in Environmental Conservation Volunteer Work and Environmental Education in Several Regions

Acting from the management philosophy tenet that "A company is a public entity of society," Panasonic Group companies in China are engaged in encouraging environmental conservation by employee volunteers, environmental education for children, and various other environmental activities as part of corporate citizenship activities.


Employee volunteer activities

Some twenty employees of the Dalian office of Panasonic Electric Equipment (China) Co., Ltd. (PELECN) took part in a clean-up of Xinghai Bay during a break from their work on December 25.中国1.jpg 中国2.jpg

Panasonic Ecology Systems Guangdong Co., Ltd. (PESGD) took part in tree planting in Long'yongkou Village, Ronggui, Shunde District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, on January 28, in support of the Chinese government's Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand  Project. On the day some 20 employee volunteers planted 205 peach seedlings.

Environmental education for children (2009 to 2023)

Panasonic China has provided environmental education to children since 2009. It has made efforts to provide knowledge relating to the environment and raise awareness about it in a variety of ways, such as school visits, acceptance of factory tours, experience of garbage sorting, and environmentally-themed courses, workshops, competitions, and events. As of March 2023 1,052,973 children had taken part in these activities.
