PT Panasonic Industrial Devices Batam (PIDSG-BT) collaborates with the Social Health Insurance Administration Body (BPJS) for Employment in Batam City in the Peduli Bersama Program. Peduli Bersama Program is an initiative where the company provides donations in the form of money used to pay premiums for Work Accident Insurance and Death Insurance programs for informal sector workers vulnerable to socio-economic risks such as workplace accidents and death. Work Accident Insurance provides cash benefits and/or health services to participants who experience work accidents or illnesses caused by the work environment. Death Insurance provides cash benefits to beneficiaries when participants pass away not as a result of work accidents or work-related illnesses.

Peduli Bersama Program established by BPJS for Employment aims to provide protection and safety nets for informal sector workers who are at risk of work accidents in various sectors. Examples of informal sector workers include street vendors, hawkers, parking attendants, construction workers, fishermen, and others who do not have fixed incomes. These informal workers can join the program as Non-Wage Workers category, paying their own premiums, with the amount adjusted based on their monthly wages/income.

In this Peduli Bersama Program, PIDSG-BT provides financial assistance to 100 informal sector workers for a protection period of 6months in Baloi Permai. The handover of the financial assistance took place on December 21, 2023, at the CGV Theatre Grand Batam, attended by all companies participating in this Peduli Bersama Program.
