Held Exchange Event between KWN Participating School and IOC Young Leader
On September 9 the Kid Witness News (KWN) learning support program for video production held an exchange event between students of Kagoshima Shugakukan Junior High School, a school participating in the program, and Berber Swart, an International Olympic Committee (IOC) Young Leader. The KWN Japan Secretariat and the Sponsorship/Event Promotion Office of the PEX Brand and Communications Sector have collaborated on such events regularly since 2017 to encourage understanding of the SDGs and make students consider the importance of creating environments allowing anyone to enjoy sport regardless of gender and ability.

Young Leader Berber Swart from the Netherlands acted as the instructor for this event. She is active globally with the hope of encouraging as many children as possible to enjoy sports as a physical education teacher.
On the day of the event, students showed Ms. Swart around the school. Next Ms. Swart introduced her own project called Mind Power to enjoy life through sport and got to know the students better.
