Group Corporate Citizenship Activity Meeting Held In-person after a Four-year Gap
On September 7 PEX Corporate Citizenship Department held the Group Corporate Citizenship Activity Meeting in-person for the first time in four years, following the downgrading of COVID-19 to a Class 5 disease. A total of 19 leaders and member involved in corporate citizenship activities from the operating companies gathered at a venue in Kadoma (18 participated online).

This meeting is held to build and enhance networks inside the group. At the start the participants introduced themselves, then Executive Officer Mishima in charge of CSR and Corporate Citizenship Activities outlined expectations toward them. Next the PEX Corporate Citizenship Department shared progress on key corporate citizenship activity initiatives and on increasing dissemination of information for employee participation throughout the Group as a whole, which is a groupwide effort.
The venue had an area devoted to introducing various corporate citizenship programs, including Bringing Light to People donation boxes and actual solar lanterns, reusable shopping bags for the Fukushima Market, and PR tools for Panasonic ECO RELAY for Sustainable Earth. The head office cafeteria served a menu in support of recovery for Fukushima, and Panasonic Industry Co., Ltd. (PID) Nishi-Kadoma held a Fukushima Market selling goods from the prefecture. Time before and after the meeting was used to encourage understanding of the corporate citizenship programs that the Panasonic Group is active in, and to increase interaction among those involved.
Introducing the various programs
A liaison meeting for operational staff at the frontline level was held on October 12 to enhance communication and collaboration and share ideas. Regular liaison meetings will boost synergistic effects throughout the Group.
