China:Multimedia Educational Systems Donated to Schools in Hebei

On May 16 Panasonic Welding Systems (Tangshan) Co., Ltd. (PWST) donated 13 multimedia educational systems to Lujiayu School (a nine-year combined primary and middle school) in Zunhua City in the east of Hebei Province.

Some of the school's pupils are so-called "left behind children" whose parents have gone to cities to find work, leaving their children in rural areas. The school is also lacking in educational equipment. This is why PWST has given aid to this school for many years.

In 2018 it donated RMB 500,000 (USD 70,000) and constructed a study room called the Panasonic Future Dream Space with a complete learning environment including air conditioners, TVs, computers, chairs, and desks. In 2020 it donated 460 chairs and desks made with environmentally friendly materials.

The multimedia educational systems it donated this time allow access to various online digital content, giving the children the chance to actively participate in classes while also promoting digital education.

PWST will continue to provide aid for learning to correct disparities in education and allow children to enjoy learning in better educational environments.
