The Panasonic Group has participated in the NPO Table For Two International (TFT)'s program to provide hot school meals to children in developing countries since 2009.

For its work in 2022 the Panasonic Group was recognized as a Platinum Partner of 10 consecutive years, and on April 6 it received a letter of appreciation from Akiko Doi, secretary general of TFT.

In this initiative some of the proceeds from TFT dishes on the menu of employee cafeterias are donated to TFT.

Since the start of participation in 2009 we have donated over $200,000 (equivalent to 1,429,000 meals). In recent times the number of users of the cafeterias has fallen due to the rise of telework, but the 12 employee cafeterias have kept up this initiative. The 14 sites without cafeterias have started a program called Cup For Two to donate some of the proceeds from vending machine sales.

The 26 sites in combination donated $10,000 (equivalent to 73,000 school meals in developing countries) to TFT. We earnestly appreciate all those who have supported and cooperated in this initiative.

The PEX Corporate Citizenship Department will continue to promote activities through meals by the employee with the aim of ending poverty, which is one of the core themes of our corporate citizenship activities.TFT賞状.png
