Japan: Fukushima Reconstruction Support Action: "Fukushima Marche" Held to Support Recovery Through Purchases

In August, the Fukushima Marche was held again at Panasonic Industry's Nishi-Kadoma site and Panasonic Holdings Corporation (PHD)/Panasonic Operational Excellence (PEX) Kadoma site, coinciding with peak season for peaches, one of Fukushima Prefecture's signature products.
During the event, a wide range of products was offered, including Fukushima sake that received Gold Prizes at the Annual Japan Sake Awards, local specialties such as Kitakata ramen, and popular Fukushima confectioneries that are not widely available in the Kansai region. As a result, both venues recorded their highest sales ever. In addition, the company cafeterias at both sites served Fukushima reconstruction support menus featuring ingredients from the prefecture; all items quickly sold out. These results demonstrated growing employee enthusiasm for supporting Fukushima through both purchasing and enjoying products from the prefecture.

Fukushima Reconstruction Support Action
This initiative aims to support Fukushima Prefecture through the purchase and enjoyment of its food products, helping address the continuing challenges of reputational damage and fading public awareness following the Great East Japan Earthquake. Since its launch in 2022, the Panasonic Group has provided ongoing reconstruction support through special menus in company cafeterias and the Fukushima Marche. Learn more →
