Panasonic India's environmental education program, Harit Umang (Joy of Green), received the ACE Award at the India Circular Economy Forum (ICEF 2026), presented by the International Council for Circular Economy (ICCE). The award recognizes outstanding initiatives that contribute to advancing the circular economy.
Harit Umang is an environmental education program launched in 2019 to commemorate Panasonic's 100th anniversary. Aligned with the Panasonic Group's long-term environmental vision, "Panasonic GREEN IMPACT," and the Indian government's Mission LiFE, the program works with schools, universities, and local communities to nurture young "Green Ambassadors."

In FY2025-2026, over 500 students participated in activities including e-waste collection drives, environmental awareness campaigns, and Model UN dialogues. The program also helped reduce environmental impacts in local communities by collecting over 900 kg of e-waste across 10 schools and promoting the collection and recycling of more than 9,000 dry cell batteries.
The recognition highlights the program's efforts to advance environmental education and the circular economy, while encouraging lasting behavioral change through proper waste management and recycling.
Through continued partnerships and education-led engagement, Panasonic India remains committed to building a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future.
