Expanding Recovery Support through a Joint Fukushima-Noto Marche
Fifteen years after the Great East Japan Earthquake, Fukushima Prefecture continues to face challenges such as reputational damage and fading public awareness. In collaboration with Fukushima Prefecture, the Panasonic Group has continued the "Fukushima Reconstruction Support Action," which promotes understanding of initiatives to ensure food safety and encourages support through the consumption of locally produced products.
In addition, the Group has provided various forms of support to areas affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake and subsequent heavy rain in 2024. These include employee disaster volunteer activities and donation initiatives utilizing the welfare system "Cafeteria Points."
On May 22, for the first time, the Group collaborated with businesses in the Noto region to host the joint Fukushima-Noto Marche at the event space on the 9th floor of Tokyo Midtown Hibiya. Featuring food products and crafts from both Fukushima and Noto, visitors participated in recovery support through actions such as learning, tasting, and purchasing.

The Fukushima Marche, which showcases agricultural, livestock, and marine products and local specialties from Fukushima, has been held 35 times across 14 locations to date. Together with menu offerings featuring Fukushima-produced ingredients in company cafeterias, these efforts have been continuously carried out as part of the Group's support for recovery.
By collaborating with businesses from Noto, this event also created a meaningful opportunity to raise awareness of and show support for both regions, which are still in the process of recovery. In addition to Panasonic Group employees, many people working in the same building also visited the event, helping broaden the circle of support while engaging with the current situations in both regions. These initiatives continue to foster individual awareness and action, further expanding the Group's recovery support efforts.
Panasonic Bluebells Support Recovery Efforts in Noto with the Union
In April, the Panasonic Bluebells, together with the Panasonic Group Union (PGU), visited Wajima and Nanao cities in Ishikawa Prefecture to engage in recovery support activities through volleyball. In Wajima, they held a volleyball clinic for junior high school students, while in Nanao they interacted with residents in a temporary housing community, sharing meaningful moments filled with smiles with local people.
Team members shared reflections such as, "Seeing the local conditions firsthand made me realize that recovery is still ongoing," and "Although I came to offer support, I was the one who was encouraged." These experiences highlight how the power of sport can bring people together and help sustain support for communities on the road to recovery.
