Europe: Panasonic ECO RELAY Activities ーCommunity Clean-ups Aligned with Environment Month

This article highlights the ECO RELAY clean-up activities carried out by Panasonic Group companies in Europe to celebrate Environment Month in June.
These efforts, conducted across various locations in Europe, not only contributed to cleaner towns but also provided opportunities for employees to strengthen their bonds. Furthermore, participants experienced firsthand how even small individual actions can positively impact the global environment.
Poland: Clean-up Activity in Warsaw
On June 16, employee volunteers carried out a clean-up in Warsaw, where the Poland office is located.
A participant, Ms.Bobrowska, commented, "Community clean-ups are meaningful not only for maintaining visual cleanliness, but also for fostering a sense of responsibility and awareness. It is important for everyone to take ownership and stay mindful of the need to manage shared spaces in order to protect the communities they live in."

Germany: Clean-up Activities Along Rivers in Wiesbaden and Munich
On June 18, employees from the Wiesbaden office engaged in a clean-up along the banks of the Rhine River. Despite temperatures exceeding 30℃, they collected 13 bags of litter in 90 minutes. Items found included cigarette butts, plastic debris, bicycle tires, and discarded clothing.

On June 27, the Environment and CSR team at Panasonic Industry Europe organized a clean-up along the riverside walkway of the Isar River in Munich. The team got praise from locals while picking up litter. Notably, many small liquor bottles were found dumped together, along with items like an old bicycle horn.

Netherlands: Clean-up Activity in Amsterdam
On June 25, employees at the Amsterdam office conducted a clean-up in the city. Although the activity took place over a short period, the team was able to collect a significant amount of litter. The participants experienced the power of teamwork and the joy of contributing to global environmental conservation.

United Kingdom: Clean-up Activity and Flower Bed Planting in Bracknell
On June 26, employees working at the Bracknell office from Panasonic UK & Ireland collaborated with the local government and carried out a clean-up activity in the rain.

Additionally, on another day of the same week, Thomas from the People Relations team led placement year students, who are gaining one year of practical experience, in creating flower beds with native species in the memorial garden. Through these activities, they aim to support local biodiversity conservation and contribute to community revitalization.
