Global: Panasonic ECO RELAY Activities in Line with Environment Month in each country

Our Panasonic Group is committed to realizing both a better life and a sustainable global environment. Under our long-term environmental vision, "Panasonic GREEN IMPACT," we are working toward the realization of carbon neutrality and circular economy.

In addition, through our global initiative "Panasonic ECO RELAY for Sustainable Earth" as a part of our corporate citizenship activities,we are striving to raise environmental awareness and encourage behavioral change among individuals, thereby expanding positive impacts on society. This time, we would like to highlight several activities held around the world in line with Environment Month in June.

Cambodia: Tree Planting Initiative Held in Line with World Environment Day

On June 14 (Saturday), Panasonic Cambodia (PACB) organized a tree planting activity in the Chambok Community of Kampong Speu Province to coincide with the period of heightened environmental awareness. The region is known for its rich natural resources and ecotourism, and PACB has continued its tree-planting efforts here since last year to support ecosystem restoration, biodiversity conservation, and local community development. Participation in these activities also provides employees with valuable opportunities to enhance their own environmental awareness.

India: Tree Planting Activity Held in Bengaluru

On June 20 (Friday), Panasonic Life Solutions India organized a tree planting activity in Bengaluru, the capital city of Karnataka State in southern India, in collaboration with the environmental NGO Heartfulness.

Approximately 30 employees from various departments at the Bengaluru branch participated in this event, engaging in an integrated farming method by planting moringa saplings among turmeric fields. This approach has attracted attention for its contributions to soil nutrient improvement and the promotion of biodiversity.

Philippines: Tree Planting Activity to Protect a Key Watershed in Metro Manila

On June 14 (Saturday), Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines, in collaboration with the Million Trees Foundation, conducted a tree planting event at the La Mesa Watershed, which plays a vital role in supplying drinking water to Metro Manila. Approximately 400 participants--including executives, labor union members, and employee volunteers--joined this initiative, planting 400 saplings, including the Philippine national tree, Narra, to contribute to the preservation of this crucial water source.

China: Environmental Campaign to Promote Bicycle Use

On June 14 (Saturday), Panasonic Energy Suzhou conducted an environmental campaign to promote bicycle use. Approximately 40 employee volunteers dressed in matching outfits cycled through various locations in the city, raising awareness among citizens about the potential benefits of using healthy and environmentally friendly transportation options for reducing CO2 emissions and environmental pollution. In addition, volunteers participated in park clean-ups and organized environmental quizzes using QR codes for residents. Furthermore, in China, the period from April to June has been designated as a time to encourage environmental volunteer activities, and various eco-relay initiatives have been carried out at several sites.

Indonesia: Tree Planting Activities Around Factories--Contributing to CO2 Reduction

In line with Environment Month, Panasonic Gobel Indonesia and Panasonic Manufacturing Indonesia (PMI) organized a tree planting event at the PMI factory on June 20. Approximately 90 participants--including representatives from the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry and members of the labor unions--planted 200 seedlings of native Indonesian tree species, mahogany and flamboyant. Since 2023, the cumulative total of trees planted has reached 1,000.

Vietnam: Kicking Off "PGI* in Action" Campaign for Environment Month
*PGI stands for Panasonic GREEN IMPACT, the Panasonic Group's long-term environmental vision.

In June, Panasonic Vietnam Group (PVG) kicked off the "PGI in Action" campaign to mark Environment Month. As part of this initiative, "Green Contribution Day" events were held across seven PVG factories and offices, with approximately 2,500 employees participating. Employees brought used batteries and recyclable waste from home and exchanged them for eco-friendly products, gaining hands-on experience with the 3Rs--Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Together with the PGI e-learning program conducted during the same period, the campaign provided an opportunity for employees to deepen their understanding of the Panasonic Group's long-term environmental vision, PGI.

From July through August, PVG is also hosting the "PGI in Action - Circular Innovation Competition," encouraging employees to submit innovative ideas related to the circular economy. Through this initiative, the companies aim to foster a culture where sustainability is embedded in both business operations and management practices.

In addition, in early June, Panasonic Appliances Vietnam organized a large-scale environmental event in Hung Yen Province in collaboration with the local Department of Agriculture and Environment. Thousands of people participated in the event, which included the collection of used batteries and waste, as well as tree planting activities--strengthening environmental awareness through engagement with the local community.

Brazil: GOMIZERO Initiative with Japanese Consulate and Chamber of Commerce

On June 21, Panasonic Brazil participated in the GOMIZERO (Zero Waste) Initiative in collaboration with the Consulate-General of Japan in Manaus and the Amazonas Japanese-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, commemorating Environment Month, the 130th anniversary of Japan-Brazil diplomatic relations, and Japanese Immigration Day in Amazonas State (June 20).
