Environmental Contribution of the "S-story Pendant" Utilizing Plant-Derived Material "kinari"

Panasonic Electric Works Co., Ltd. launched sales of the S-story Pendant, a lighting fixture made from sustainable materials, on June 21. The product aims to contribute to both a better life and a more sustainable global environment.
The pendant's shade is made from "kinari," a high-cellulose-fiber molding material developed by the Panasonic Group. Kinari offers performance nearly equivalent to conventional oil-derived resins, while being a highly sustainable material composed primarily of plant-derived fibers (cellulose). The S-story Pendant features a marble-like pattern that highlights the natural texture of plant fibers, along with a softly rounded form reminiscent of polished stone. When illuminated, the shade gently diffuses light, creating a calm and comfortable atmosphere in living spaces.
In addition, a portion of the product's sales will be donated to JUON NETWORK, a certified nonprofit organization in Japan, to support environmental conservation initiatives such as forest preservation.
