Supporting the Community During Ramadan~Pop-Up Pantry with Masjid Wak Tanjong in Singapore~

IMG_20260312_172653 (カスタム).jpgOn 12 March 2026, employees from Panasonic Industrial Devices Singapore (PIDSG) participated in a meaningful community outreach activity in collaboration with Masjid Wak Tanjong and the MacPherson Malay Activity Executive Committee (MAEC). The initiative formed part of Panasonic's ongoing corporate citizenship efforts in Singapore.

The activity was held at the MacPherson Community Club, where volunteers worked together to support 110 families in need living in the MacPherson constituency. The programme aimed to help families prepare for the holy month of Ramadan and the upcoming Hari Raya Puasa, enabling them to celebrate with dignity, peace of mind, and joy.

Providing Essential Support During Ramadan

During the event, volunteers assisted with the packing and distribution of essential household groceries and bento meals for breaking fast (iftar). The donated items included staple food products and daily necessities, carefully arranged in close coordination with Masjid Wak Tanjong to ensure they met the needs of the community.

In addition to the on-site activities, volunteers also took part in house visits around the Circuit Road area, delivering groceries directly to residents who required additional assistance. Through these visits, participants were able to engage more closely with the families and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges they face in their daily lives.

Representatives from PIDSG management were also present at the event, sharing words of encouragement and reaffirming Panasonic's commitment to supporting inclusive and caring communities.
