A Decarbonization Experience for Parents and Children at a Shopping Mall

PXL_20260328_014527808.MP (カスタム).jpgOn March 28 and 29, the Decarb EXPO was held at LaLaport EXPOCITY, a large shopping mall in Osaka Prefecture. The event aimed to raise awareness of decarbonization ("Decarb" ) and encourage attendees to take action in their daily lives. The event was co-hosted by Earth hacks & Co., Ltd. and Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd., with support from many companies, including the Panasonic Group. Our group participated as part of a partnership with Mitsui Fudosan to support the regional revitalization of the Kansai area.

At our booth, Panasonic Energy Co., Ltd. conducted the "LED Neck Light Workshop," and Panasonic Corporation Electric Works Company (now Panasonic Electric Works Co., Ltd.) held the "LED Lantern Workshop." Both workshops targeted elementary school students, offering hands-on activities that allowed participants to experience concepts of energy conservation and renewable energy through creative learning. Over the two days, a total of 174 parent-child pairs participated, with the first sessions fully booked, reflecting strong overall engagement. The workshops featured vibrant decorations incorporating EVOLTA NEO batteries, as well as a hands-on solar-powered train experience, which attracted strong interest and contributed to the lively atmosphere at the venue. This initiative helped spark interest in decarbonization among families and enhanced recognition of the Panasonic Group's efforts.
