China: Home Appliance Factory "Panasonic Manufacturing Xiamen" Hosted a Confectionery Workshop

On March 20, Panasonic Manufacturing Xiamen (PMX) held a hands-on confectionery workshop for 40 members of the student council from a local public elementary school in Xiamen, Fujian Province. The workshop featured cooking appliances manufactured at the PMX factory. In his opening remarks, Song Zuxi, managing director of PMX, encouraged the children to experience the joy of making things through hands-on activities. Hu Huiling, president of the elementary school, expressed gratitude to the company for providing this learning opportunity and emphasized the importance of collaboration between schools and companies in supporting children's learning. Afterwards, Chen Donggeng, director of PMX, gave an introduction to the company's history and corporate culture.
During the workshop, trained instructors carefully explained the basics of confectionery making and how to use kitchen appliances. The children were divided into groups of eight and assigned roles, working together on measuring, mixing, decorating, and making juice. They created cookies, cakes, juice, and ice cream themselves. Everyone enjoyed tasting the handmade sweets together, and the atmosphere was filled with laughter.
As part of the program, the children visited PMX's safety education facility to learn about electrical appliance safety and toured the product exhibition hall to see various home appliances. At the end of the event, PMX presented a commemorative gift to each participating child.
