On April 3, Panasonic Cambodia(PACB)held a solar lantern donation ceremony in Kor Dontei village, Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia. The event was attended by local authorities and community representatives, including the Commune Chief and the District Governor, alongside representatives from the Japan Evangelical Lutheran Association (JELA), local NGO Lutheran Hope Cambodia Organization (formerly Life With Dignity), and Panasonic Cambodia. Panasonic solar lanterns were donated to 96 households.

In this area, connection to the national power grid remains insufficient, and many households rely on kerosene lamps for nighttime lighting. This lack of electricity not only restricts study time for children, but also poses risks to health and safety. Through this donation, priority support was provided to impoverished households and families with school-aged children.

At the ceremony, Mr. Maeda, Chief Representative of Panasonic Cambodia, commented, "We remains committed to working with partners to support community development through practical and sustainable solutions. We believe that access to reliable lighting is a fundamental step toward improving quality of life, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to bring a brighter future to communities in need."

In addition to this initiative, we have decided to donate approximately 200 additional solar lanterns to other rural communities in Cambodia. By improving living conditions and reducing household energy costs, we will contribute to enhancing the quality of life in communities with vulnerable power supplies.
