Small SDGs Actions Inspired by the 5-Hour Endurance Relay Marathon

On Saturday, December 6, 381 participants from the Panasonic Group, organized into 36 teams, took part in the "5-Hour Endurance Relay Marathon" hosted by the Yokohama Sport Association.
Colleagues from various Panasonic companies--including Panasonic Automotive Systems, Panasonic Connect, Panasonic Operational Excellence, Panasonic Holdings, Panasonic Industry, and Panasonic ITS--came together as "One Team Panasonic," passing the relay sash to strengthen bonds across different companies and departments.
After the marathon, small SDGs actions were carried out at two networking reception venues. These initiatives featured a charity fundraising activity in which participants brought unused household items home and sold them at prices proposed by interested buyers.
The total amount raised, ¥39,202, was contributed to the Panasonic Group's corporate citizenship initiative, the "AKARI" Action Project, which supports sending solar lanterns to off-grid communities in Africa.
