China: Volunteer Activities for the Double Ninth Festival: Celebrating Longevity in October

The Panasonic Group in China conducts volunteer activities under a unified theme and schedule across all group companies to strengthen unity and enhance the impact of these efforts. In fiscal 2025, the group focused on themes such as "environment," "education," and "support for the elderly." In October, initiatives supporting elderly members of the community were organized to coincide with the traditional Double Ninth Festival, which celebrates longevity.


 Visit to a Leprosy Recovery Center 

On October 25, ten employee volunteers from Panasonic Connected Solutions (Guangdong) visited the Leprosy Recovery Center in Dongguan City. They delivered essential items, engaged in friendly conversations with residents, and provided companionship in a relaxed setting, demonstrating care for their daily needs.

 Prevention Event to Protect Brain Health 

On October 28, Panasonic Operational Excellence China hosted an event at the Panasonic Housing Showroom in Shanghai titled "Protecting Brain Health through Positive Preventive Habits." The program featured lectures by medical experts and training on dementia prevention.

Participants gained practical knowledge about brain health risks and increased their understanding of preventive self-care practices.

 Respect and Care for Local Seniors 

On October 31, Panasonic Industrial Devices Taiko (Shenzhen) visited the Xin Qiao Community Elderly Service Center. Volunteers provided basic supplies such as tissues, shampoo, and body soap, and enjoyed warm interactions with 15 elderly residents, including the oldest participant, who was 101 years old.
