Cambodia: Participating in Together Actions for SDGs Organized by AEON and the United Nations
Panasonic Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. Cambodia Branch (PACB) participated in the "Together Actions for SDGs" summit held at AEON Mall in Phnom Penh from October 31 to November 2.
This event, organized by AEON Cambodia and the United Nations Cambodia, with the support of public and private entities aimed to raise awareness of the SDGs and featured a range of workshops, panel discussions, and interactive sessions focusing on quality education, climate change initiatives, gender equality, and more.
Mr. Maeda delivered a speech at the opening ceremony
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Maeda, Branch Manager of PACB, delivered a speech highlighting Panasonic's various initiatives to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs--such as donating solar lanterns to off-grid areas, providing scholarships to students, and conducting environmental conservation activities. He also presented the latest innovations and strategies related to sustainability, from energy-saving appliances to environmentally conscious business operations.
Through participation in "Together Actions for SDGs," Panasonic reaffirmed its strong commitment to sustainability and expressed its intention to continue supporting the achievement of the SDGs in Cambodia and across the Asia-Pacific region as a whole.
Additionally, visiting children were introduced to our educational website, "Panasonic Kids School," providing them with opportunities to learn about sustainability, science, and innovation.
