Thailand:Panasonic Continues the "Panasonic Cares" Project for the 3rd Year

Panasonic Group in Thailand continues to carry out the social project "Panasonic Cares" for the 3rd consecutive year, aiming to create a sustainable environment and improve the quality of life of Thai communities.
In collaboration with Bualuang Securities PLC, the project begins in Nong Khai and Udon Thani provinces through activities that provide sets of waste classification bins, Energy-saving Panasonic LED light bulbs, and computers with essential equipment for education, along with enhancing skills and creativity in photography from the Lumix team to Bannonsawan School and Banlamphu School.
Mr. Hidekazu Ito, CEO of Panasonic Group in Thailand said, "Panasonic has been operating in Thailand for more than 65 years, and Thailand has become our second home. Therefore, we have continuously implemented activities to give back to society in many ways. Two years ago, we upgraded the project under the name Panasonic Cares to create value through clearly targeted activities for sustainable development.
These include improving electrical equipment in schools, supporting education and sports, donating medical equipment to hospitals, as well as organizing tree planting activities and charity runs to raise funds to support underprivileged patients. These activities reflect the company's intention to comprehensively care for the environment, health, and communities. More than 20 activities have already been carried out, covering many provinces such as Khon Kaen, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani, Chiang Rai, Chonburi, and Bangkok."
"The Panasonic Cares project is committed to conducting activities in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including Good health and Well-being, Quality Education, Life on Land, No poverty, Responsible Consumption and Production, Zero Hunger, and Partnerships for the Goals. At the same time, it is consistent with Panasonic Group's global long-term environmental mission, Panasonic Green Impact, which aims to improve the quality of life for everyone within a sustainable environment under the goals of reducing carbon dioxide emissions and promoting material recycling to achieve environmental goals by 2030."
In addition to providing essential supplies to communities in need, the Panasonic Cares initiative is also dedicated to fostering long-term environmentally responsible habits among young people and local communities.
The program promotes discipline in waste separation and reducing pollution through the activity "Together with Panasonic: Separate Waste for a Cleaner Community". This includes the distribution of Waste classification bin sets to schools and communities nationwide, alongside on-site engagement where Panasonic employees share knowledge with students on proper waste separation practices.

"This year, Panasonic Group in Thailand, together with Bualuang Securities Public Company Limited, continues to promote sustainability in the environment and education in remote areas by donating Waste classification bins, energy-saving Panasonic LED light bulbs and computers with equipment.
These are to enhance learning opportunities and useful skills for children, youth, and teachers at Bannonsawan School, Rattanawapi District, Nong Khai Province, which has 168 students and is one of the community schools that has consistently promoted environmental projects but still lacks essential educational equipment for developing students' quality of learning; and Banlamphu School, Kut Chap District, Udon Thani Province, which has 58 students."

"At the same time, Panasonic employees also conducted on-site workshops to educate participants on proper waste separation practices. The initiative was further supported by photography experts from the Lumix team, who organized activities to enhance photography skills and digital content creation.
These efforts aim to equip young people with essential skills, enabling them to apply and expand their knowledge in ways that benefit their communities, contributing to sustainable and quality development for the future."

Miss Kalayanee Leksomboon, Managing Director, Corporate Support Group, Bualuang Securities PLC, said, "This year marks the first time that Bualuang Securities has partnered with Panasonic to organize meaningful activities for society.
Our company has consistently carried out CSR initiatives, such as the 'Building Weirs to Preserve Waterways' project to help conserve rivers for forests and communities at Kaeng Krachan, Phetchaburi Province; the 'Sharing Love from Seniors to Juniors' project, where interns participate in social activities to instill civic responsibility by providing meals and producing recycled Braille notebooks for the visually impaired; and initiatives to provide computers and equipment to the Department of Juvenile Observation and Protection to support learning and help prepare young people for stable careers in the future.
For today's collaboration with Panasonic, we have donated computers and related equipment to students in remote communities to support their education. We strongly believe that education is the foundation of learning, and with it, young people will be able to expand their knowledge, foster new ideas, and continue to develop themselves into the future."
