Volunteer Activities by Employees in Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake and Heavy Rain
Employees who volunteered
From September 12 to 15, 15 Panasonic Group employees conducted disaster relief volunteer activities in Wajima City, which was affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake and heavy rain in 2024.
This was the third time our team has provided support in the disaster area, following previous activities in Suzu and Nanao City.

Removal of waste and cleaning mud out of gutters
Currently, many damaged and yet-to-be-demolished houses and impaired roads remain in the area, making long-term support essential for recovery and reconstruction.
For this activity, we recruited participants from employees who had completed the disaster volunteer training course organized by the Corporate Citizenship Division and collaborated with "Wajima Reconstruction Support Organization Ligare."
Our volunteers carried out tasks such as removing debris, mowing grass, and cleaning out mud from ditches--areas where local manpower was insufficient.
Participants shared feedback such as:
"Although media coverage has decreased, the area is still far from recovery, and I could truly feel the hardships people are facing,"
"The activity was short, but I'm grateful to have worked with my team and fellow volunteers," and
"Collaborating with my team was fulfilling. A resident's 'Thank you, Panasonic' smile lifted my fatigue and reminded me of our responsibility. I'm proud to be part of the Panasonic Group."
