Philippines: Corporate Citizenship Week Bringing Together Executives, Union, and Employees
Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines (PMPC) intensively carried out various corporate citizenship activities from July 24 to 25. Executives including Director Kozuma, labor union representatives, employees, and team members from the Corporate Citizenship division of PHD/PEX in Japan all participated, working together as one team.
At PMPC, corporate citizenship activities are positioned as a vital management element to foster strong relationships with the local community, raise awareness of the Panasonic brand in the Philippines, and enhance employee engagement.
These activities embody Panasonic's management philosophy and corporate stance, demonstrated by leadership's active involvement, which in turn strengthens brand value both internally and externally. By collaborating with the Corporate Citizenship division of PHD/PEX and leveraging global programs, PMPC aims to create greater social impact while fostering pride and strengthening its presence as a global company.
Kid Witness News (KWN): Philippine Local Contest
On July 24, the Kid Witness News (KWN) Philippines local contest was held at the PMPC site in Manila. Ten PMPC employees and labor union members served as judges to select the video production that will represent the country at the KWN Global Summit 2025 on Saturday, October 25.
Due to repeated typhoon-induced flooding, only some students from participating schools could attend. Their teachers accepted certificates on their behalf and shared comments expressing surprise and joy.

At the end of the contest, a video from a recent KWN Kids Report at the same factory was screened and watched together with employees.
This video was created by children who participated in the previous year's KWN Global Summit. For the employees who were interviewed by the children, it was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the significance of work.

Panasonic Scholarship Asia: 2025 Award Ceremony and Alumni Homecoming
Also on July 24, the 2025 award ceremony was held for this year's scholarship recipients, along with an "Alumni Homecoming" event for graduates who received scholarships between 2019 and 2023.
The scholars shared in their speeches that the scholarship not only provided financial support but also served as a source of emotional encouragement. They noted that being selected through a highly competitive interview process has boosted their confidence.

LIGHT UP THE FUTURE: Interview Survey at Donation Site
On the second day, the team visited a facility for people with disabilities that received solar lanterns two years ago, conducting interviews to assess changes in residents' lives.
The facility, which supports the economic independence of individuals with physical disabilities and receives assistance from the labor union for growing vegetables, includes a factory where about 300 people work and a residential area for about 50 people.
Previously, the residential area had almost no lighting, making life difficult after sunset. The donated solar lanterns have enabled residents to live safely and enjoy leisure activities such as reading.

Due to bad weather, a planned tree-planting activity for ECO RELAY at the PMPC site was postponed, and only a discussion with the labor union took place. Additionally, a media room for KWN participating schools was opened at a school in Angono, known as the "Art Capital of the Philippines," and the ceremony was attended by the chairman of the local council and other dignitaries.
