Thailand: Partnership with Ajinomoto FD Green - Enhancing Green Spaces in Ayutthaya Communities

thailand_1.pngOn March 14, 2025, Panasonic Group in Thailand and Ajinomoto FD Green (Thailand) Co., Ltd. jointly held a tree-planting event in Ayutthaya Province. Panasonic contributed a total of 1,325 trees--including Queen's Crape Myrtles, Trumpet Trees and Indian Cork Trees, while FD Green donated 300 kilograms of Super Ash soil structure improvement materials to improve green spaces.

 Collaborating with FD Green to Protect the Environment and Improve Quality of Life 

Since FY2023, Panasonic Group in Thailand has been promoting its corporate citizenship initiative, "Panasonic Cares", under the philosophy of "Well-being of People, Society, and the Planet." The project's framework aligns with the SDGs, focusing on the environment, health, and education. In parallel, the group is working toward its long-term environmental vision, Panasonic GREEN IMPACT, by reducing CO₂ emissions across its value chain.

FD Green, a specialized company under Ajinomoto Thailand, manufactures and sells fertilizers and animal feed made from by-products of fermentation processes. The company promotes sustainable agriculture through its "Bio-cycle" approach. Building on their shared commitment to environmental conservation and community well-being, Panasonic and FD Green began collaborating in FY2023 with a tree-planting and forest restoration project in Khon Kaen Province.


 Engaging Communities, Partners, Customers, and Employees 

Panasonic Group in Thailand promotes integrated corporate citizenship activities that involve a wide range of stakeholders. The number of donated trees was determined based on participation in two key initiatives.

Charity Marathon

Each year, Panasonic Group in Thailand hosts a charity marathon for local residents, partners, employees, and students. In FY2024, the Panasonic Hero Run Green Impact for Charity 2024 attracted over 1,300 participants who collectively ran 8,753 km. Based on the pledge to plant one tree for every 10 kilometers run, a total of 875 trees were donated.thailand_2.png

Panasonic Hair Dryer NA0J Tree-Planting Campaign

In Thailand, a tree-planting campaign was launched in connection with online sales of the Panasonic Hair Dryer NA0J, which features eco-friendly biomass paint and packaging.As a result of this initiative, 450 trees were donated.thailand_3.png

Panasonic Group in Thailand will continue to collaborate with diverse partners to promote environmental conservation and contribute to local communities, with the goal of realizing a sustainable and affluent society.
