Panasonic Open Ladies Golf Tournament - Leaning Support for Next Generation: KWN Kids Report

kwn.pngThe Panasonic Open Ladies Golf Tournament was held over three days from May 2 to 4 at the Hamano Golf Club in Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture.

As part of our learning support for next generation, students from Kanamachi Junior High School in Tokyo, and Soshin Girls' Junior and Senior High School in Yokohama --both participants in the Kid Witness News (KWN) program--took on the challenge of announcing player starts and conducting interviews with athletes and tournament staff.

KWN is a global educational program that supports learning through video production. In addition to hosting an annual Global Summit that brings together children from around the world, the program offers opportunities such as the "Kids Report," where children act as reporters and experience real-world journalism. These hands-on activities, which go beyond what is possible in the classroom or daily life, are consistently well received.

Looking ahead, we plan to conduct Kids Report activities at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, where children will help convey the appeal of both the Expo and our group's pavilion, "The Land of NOMO." Through KWN, we will continue to leverage our group's resources and strengths to support children's learning and growth.
