It has been 14 years since the Great East Japan Earthquake. To correctly understand the current situation and the initiatives for the safety of food at Fukushima Prefecture, which still suffers from reputational damage and fading memories, we have implemented initiatives to support Fukushima by "choosing and eating" Fukushima products.
In March, we provided "Fukushima Reconstruction Support Menu" at nine employee cafeterias and held "Fukushima Marche" at two locations: XC KADOMA and Panasonic Industry (PID) Toranomon site.
On March 6, we invited a lecturer from the Fukushima Prefectural Government to hold the Social Good Meetup (SGM) for employees after work, where they spoke about the "Fukushima Innovation Coast Initiative," which aims to develop new industries and promote regional revitalization for the reconstruction of Fukushima Prefecture.
SGM on food safety was held every year in March, but this time, the theme was closely related to new business creation and community activities, resulting in an increase in new attendees and showing the high level of employee interest in reconstruction.
Additionally, at PID Toranomon site, on the same day as the SGM, "Fukushima Marche" and "Reflecting on the Great East Japan Earthquake" meeting for disaster prevention personnel were held. During the meeting, participants watched the SGM while surrounding the items purchased at the Marche, providing an opportunity to think about the reconstruction of Fukushima and future disaster prevention.
