Small SDG Action by Participants in One Team Panasonic Five-Hour Endurance Relay Race

The Yokohama Sport Association held a five-hour endurance relay race on Sunday, December 15. A total of 39 teams with 429 people joined in from various operating companies (PAS, PCO, PEX, PHD, PITS, etc.). A Panasonic Group social gathering convened after the race held a charity auction and recycling fund-raising under the title of a Small SDG Action.
The charity auction gathered many unused items from families to be sold for prices suggested by those wishing to buy them. The proceeds were 12,251 yen. Twenty items, including used books, CDs, and DVDs, were gathered for the recycling fund-raising. These will be donated to the Bringing Light to People program conducted as part of Panasonic Group corporate citizenship activities. They will be converted into solar lanterns to be given to areas without electricity in Africa.
