Panasonic Housing Solutions Co., Ltd.(PHS) Donates Part of Proceeds of Airylight Sales to Disaster Relief
At the donation ceremony
On June 5 Panasonic Housing Solutions Co., Ltd. (PHS) donated part of the proceeds of sales of Airylight, a nonflammable lightweight ceiling material, to the Central Community Chest of Japan, as relief for affected areas that suffered damage from the earthquakes, typhoons, and torrential rains that struck Japan in recent years.
Airylight is a nonflammable lightweight ceiling material released on December 1, 2020. It uses originally developed urethane foam, just four millimeters thick, to give it a level of lightness that is at the top of the industry.* Lightening ceilings raises the safety of buildings when earthquakes occur. Airylight has a good reputation for its ease of design and installation, as it can be put in place with minimal labor even in ceilings of six meters or higher covering 200 square meters or more.
*As of October 2020 for board-type ceiling material in Japan (according to research by PHS).
Aiming to contribute to wide-ranging preparations for disasters through sales of Airylight, PHS started donations to the Central Community Chest of Japan from March 1, 2023. This is the third such donation. The donated funds will be used for recovery and restoration efforts by volunteers and NPOs in areas where disasters strike.
PHS will continue to aim for the realization of the business slogan "For an Everlasting Tomorrow" to address social issues by providing a solution for all aspects of housing, including development of materials, design, construction, and aftercare services.
