Japan: Internal Kickoff Meeting Held for the FY2024 My Future Discovery Program
On May 10 the FY2024 kickoff meeting for employees to take part in school visits for the junior high school career education My Future Discovery Program was held, with 20 people participating from many operating companies.
This is a program offering support for career education by junior high schools throughout Japan. It provides the students a chance to think about what they need to do now in order to become the person they want to be in the future.
It also provides the opportunity for employees who take part in the school visits to participate in corporate citizenship activities and to take stock of their own jobs and rethink the reason why they work through talking about their own careers, jobs, and roles.
This fiscal year the plan is to hold online visits to 30 schools and in-person visits to 20 schools, starting from Okayama Municipal Sannan Gakuen and Kyoto Municipal Karaku Junior High School on June 24.
