Panasonic Education Foundation Holds FY2026 Research Grant Results Conference
On July 31, the Panasonic Education Foundation held its FY2026 Results Presentation at a seminar venue within the 11th Kansai Educational ICT Expo at INTEX Osaka. Approximately 120 participants, primarily from schools and educational institutions, attended the event.
At the presentation, two of the three schools that participated as "Special Research Designated Schools" under the foundation's Practical Research Grant program from FY2024 to FY2025 presented the outcomes of their initiatives.
In the first session, Tennoji Elementary School Attached to Osaka Kyoiku University presented its curriculum management practices through STEAM education. The school introduced initiatives in which teachers continuously reviewed and refined the curriculum collaboratively, including the development of a "digital unit curriculum map" using electronic whiteboards. In the second session, Tsukuba Municipal Midorinogakuen Compulsory Education School presented on the theme of "inquiry-based learning that enables each student to become a creator of the future." The school reported on practices designed to foster students' ability to learn independently by leveraging ICT tools, including generative AI, and enabling students to choose their own approaches to inquiry-based learning.
The foundation's expert committee members, who supported the schools' practical research over the two-year period, also joined both presentations and provided comments on the significance and outcomes of each initiative from a researcher's perspective. These presentations provided educators with an opportunity to learn about the initiatives and achievements of the two schools while also raising awareness of the foundation's Practical Research Grant program.
On the same day, the foundation also exhibited a booth for the first time at the Kansai Educational ICT Expo. The booth featured posters highlighting outcomes from past grant recipients and distributed flyers on the grant program to help raise awareness among educators.
