LUTF Project Support in Osaka Monorail Wrap Ad

Ending Poverty

2023.08.24

In February 2022 the LIGHT UP THE FUTURE (LUTF) project being promoted by the PEX Corporate Citizenship Department signed a partnership agreement with Kadoma City relating to activities to donate solar lanterns to areas without electricity. AKARI donation boxes have been installed in 65 locations in the city, such as at public facilities, companies, supermarkets, and schools, to widen the scope of the activities.

When Kadoma City used wrap advertising on the Osaka Monorail to celebrate its 60th anniversary of becoming a municipality, the Panasonic Group supported this by train wrap advertising for LUTF from June 2023 to March 2024, and in-train ads from June to August 2023.

The anniversary ceremony held on June 2 was attended by Mr. Kazutaka Miyamoto, mayor of Kadoma, along with partner companies, to do a tape cutting and celebrate the start of operation of the wrapped monorail. The ads will remain in place for 10 months, to be seen not only by the more than 1.4 million passengers but also by nearby residents and users of the major roads and expressways that run parallel to the monorail. This will help to widen the scope of the Bringing Light to People program.
