Konosuke Matsushita is the third right in the front row.

Kawakita Denki ordered 1000 pieces of insulator for an electric fan to Konosuke Matsushita, who faced a predicament of preparing the company. Konosuke overcame difficulties and was able to run a start-up business as" Matsushita Denki" in 1918.
In 1950, Nihon Denki Seiki Co., Ltd., which originated as Kawakita Denki, produced electric fans for the National brand. It joined the Matsushita Group in 1956, and now operates as Panasonic Ecology Systems Co., Ltd.

Started to produce ventilating fans

Joined Matsushita Group

1962

Changed the company name to Matsushita Seiko Co., Ltd.
Released the first air purifier for home use in Japan

2002

Cumulative electric fans production reached 100 million units

2003

Changed the company name to Matsushita Ecology Systems Co., Ltd.
Head office relocated to Kasugai city, Aichi prefecture

2006

2008

Changed the company name to Panasonic Ecology Systems Co., Ltd.

2009

KDK 100th anniversary

2015

Established Panasonic Ecology Systems Guangdong Co., Ltd., Suzhou Branch in Suzhou, China.

2016

Established Panasonic Ecology Systems America-Panasonic Ecology Systems De Mexico S.A. de C.V. in Mexico.

2018

Achieved the cumulative global production of 200 million Ventilating Fans
