Numerical display of mass concentration with high Accuracy.
Lineup includes LED type and Laser type.

Uses the sensor to detect PM2.5 that is invisible the eye.
Output numerical value of mass-density (ug/m³) by high-accuracy concentration conversion algorithm, and possibile to visualized IAQ (indoor air quality).
The PM2.5 sensor is also commonly referred to as a dust sensor.

Detection mechanism

About PM2.5

PM2.5 is a general term for fine particulate matter of 2.5 μm or less that is suspended in the air.
It cannot be seen with the naked eye.
Some concerns have been raised about its influence to the human body, including its propensity to penetrate deep into the respiratory tract.

Main features of the new LED-type sensor (SN-GCJA6)

Unique inner airflow design eliminated the work for cleaning the lens.

Designed so the lens does not become dirty even after long-term use. Regular cleaning is not required.

Stabilizes within only about 20 seconds after start-up.

Heater resistance is optimally controlled to reduce start-up time. It also supports frequent repetition of turning sensor ON/OFF.

Main features of laser type sensors

Compact size of 37 x 37 x 12 mm is achieved.

Compact-sizing achieved with a smaller optical system. Contributing to space-saving of equipment wheh loaded.

Measurement from low to hith concentration (up to 1,000ug/m³) with ±10% accuracy.

High accuracy mass concentration value indication (ug/m³) by using a concentration analysis algorithm

Suppression of sensor interior contamination by using a tracking prevention structure.

Securing product safety by avoiding airflow above the electronic components, and suppressing deterioration and sensing performance.

Monitoring electronic components and optimizing by electrical control.

Continuous monitorng of each devices condition for maintaining stable output, and process software-based correction at the required timing.

Longer life and maintaing accuracy until latter half of life.

Performance deterioration during years of use is corrected by auto-calibration and avoiding changes of characteristics.
