We are working on preventing the spread of COVID-19 Infection based on the "Guidelines for Preventing the Spread of COVID-19 Infection in Museums" by the Japanese Association of Museums.

Our Museum Measures

  1. Sanitizer dispensers are placed at the entrance and in the restrooms.
  2. Staff members wear masks at all times and take their temperatures twice a day.
  3. Staff members are stationed at the front doors to open and close them.
  4. Protective acrylic panels installed at reception desk and shop counter.
  5. Lockers, counters, and other frequently used fixtures are sprayed with an antiviral coating.
    They are also periodically disinfected.
  6. Admission is limited at any given time.
  7. The ventilation rate has been increased to bring in outside air at higher volumes than usual.

Requests for Visitor Cooperation and Understanding

  1. Temperature monitoring at the entrance of Museum
    Refrain from visiting the museum if you have a temperature of higher fever than normal heat, furthermore, if you have a cough, a sore throator close contact with COVID-19 infected person.
  2. Common-sense etiquette
    While in the museum and observe common-sense etiquette in regard to unavoidable coughing.
  3. Hand care
    Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before entering the museum. Sinks for washing hands are available in the restrooms beside the elevator. Sanitizer dispensers are available in the restrooms and at the museum entrance.
  4. Spacing
    Refrain from chatting in the exhibition rooms, maintain a respectful distance from other visitors, and proceed as much as possible in a common direction. Understand that the staff might regulate museum entry if and as necessary to prevent crowding.
  5. Health concerns
    Notify a staff member promptly if you or anyone with you feels unwell.
    The museum has received no reports of anyone having tested positive for Covid-19 infection after visiting the museum, but the museum will post a notice on its website If it ever receives such a report.
