I grew up playing both rugby and cricket. Both sports have played an important role in my life, teaching me discipline, teamwork, and the importance of hard work.

試合前のルーティン

Before every match, I enjoy listening to music to get myself into the right mindset. I focus on the game ahead, mentally prepare for the challenge, and make sure I’m ready to give my absolute best for the team.

ラグビーを始めたきっかけ

My dad has always had a huge passion for rugby, and he is the reason I fell in love with the sport. Growing up, I saw how much rugby meant to him, and that inspired me to follow the same path. What started as something I wanted to do because of my dad eventually became my own passion and dream.

忘れられない試合／プレー

One of the most unforgettable moments of my rugby career was representing South Africa U18 against England and winning 67–19. Wearing the South African jersey and representing my country was an incredible honour and a memory I will cherish forever.

趣味

Outside of rugby, I enjoy hunting and spending quality time with my friends. I believe it’s important to enjoy life, make good memories, and appreciate the people around you.

What I enjoy most about Kumagaya is how peaceful and relaxed it is. It’s a great place to live, and I really appreciate the calm environment, which allows me to focus on my rugby and enjoy everyday life.

子どものころの夢

Ever since I was young, my biggest dream was to become a professional rugby player. Being able to live that dream today is something I’m incredibly grateful for, but I know this is only the beginning. I want to keep improving, pushing my limits, and becoming the best player I can be.

憧れのアスリート

Cameron Hanekom. I admire his physicality, work ethic, and the way he approaches the game. As a fellow loose forward, he inspires me to keep improving and to always give my best on the field.

To all the Wild Knights fans, thank you for your incredible support and passion. It is a huge honour to be part of this amazing team and to play in front of such dedicated supporters. Your energy and encouragement mean more to us than you know. I promise to always give my best, play with pride, and leave everything on the field for this jersey. I am excited for what lies ahead, and I hope we can create many unforgettable memories together. Thank you for making me feel at home here in Japan. Let’s make this season one to remember!
