The Panasonic IMPULSE (7-0) took on the All Mitsubishi LIONS (5-3) at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka and came out on top 20-3.
IMPULSE, although seeded #1 in the playoffs and going up against the lone “Battle 9” team in the playoffs in LIONS, got off to a slow start and LIONS led 3-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Towards the end of the second quarter, IMPULSE QB was able to connect with WR #4 Koji Takagi on a scramble drill for a 47 yard touchdown pass.
That put the game at 7-3 IMPULSE going into halftime.
From there the defense was solid and shut out the LIONS the rest of the game while IMPULSE added another rushing touchdown by QB and two field goals by K #11 Eita Saeki (lengths of 27 and 48, respectively). IMPULSE offense gained 305 total yards on the day while LIONS was held to 195 yards.

Panasonic IMPULSE looks to build on this win when they take on the IBM BIG BLUE on November 26th, 1 pm at Kincho Stadium.
