The most anticipated game of the year was scheduled for October 1, 2017. Panasonic IMPULSE verses the Fujitsu FRONTIERS.
The two prior meetings split the series one to one with a victory by both teams. Each team was undefeated coming into this matchup.

The 1Q was uneventful as both teams were not able to score points.
This was attributed to penalties by the Panasonic IMPULSE and also a missed field goal.

The 2Q was the first sign of action as the IMPULSE was able to score on the one-yard line with a rush from QB #8 Tetsuo Takata.
The FRONTIERS would try to counter this score with a march down the field to only have their field goal attempt blocked by DL #21 Carlton Jones, which was recovered by team captain DB #27 Atsushi Tsuji.
This would end the first half with the IMPULSE shutting out the FRONTIERS 7- 0.

The second half would be the first time the FRONTIERS would find the endzone. This would be by a 46 yard field goal by K #11 Nishimura.
The IMPULSE would match field goal for field goal in the 3Q with K #11 Eita Saeki  kicking a 31 yard field goal to end the 3Q. This would put the IMPULSE ahead 10 – 3.

The 4Q would put the IMPULSE in a commanding lead with two more touchdown rushes from QB #8 Tetsuo Takata and RB #33 Shun Yokota making the score 24-3.
The FRONTIERS would try to rally back with a late touchdown by QB #3 Colby Cameron, but the power of the IMPULSE defense would stop them in their tracks with a pair of interceptions in the 4Q.

The final score would be the Panasonic IMPULSE over the Fujitsu FRONTIERS 24-9.
Panasonic IMPULSE will play the Obic SEAGULLS at Expo Flash Field October 15, 2017 at 2:10pm.
