「THEライン目線」をご覧の皆さま、こんにちは。

さて、今週も「THEライン目線」のお時間がやってまいりました。

今週のライン目線はマッスル系コラムニスト
ディフェンスライン　♯56　澗隨選手がグローバル化しつつある
インパルスの内情を取材してきてもらいました。

THEライン目線のファンの皆様、お久しぶりです。
DL＃５６澗隨（カンズイ）です。

近年インパルスはグローバル化が進んでおり
部室やグランド、ミーティングルームでは積極的に英語が飛び交います。

 

今回は＃１７モトゥ選手と＃９９ダフィ選手に英語でインタビューをしてみました。

恥ずかしながら一応日本語翻訳もしてみました。。。

＜Question １＞
 Why did you come to Japan? and when did you come to Japan?
なぜ日本にきたのですか？いつ日本にきたのですか？

＜Answer＞
 I came to Japan to change my life around and see what American Football in Japan was all about.
I lived in Okinawa most of my life, but I came to "mainland" Japan when I 19 years old for College. (Nihon University)

私は人生を変えるために、また日本のアメリカンフットボールとはどんなモノか？を見るために日本にきました。
最初はずっと沖縄に住んでいましたが、19歳の時大学に通うために本州に移動しました。

 

＜Question２＞
What do you like Japanese culture?
  For example, food, sports, anything is ok.
 
日本で好きなものは何ですか？例えば食物やスポットなど何でもOKです。

 

＜Answer＞
 I love Japanese food!! Natto, Tofu, Chicken Katsu, Katsu Don!, Gyu Don!, Yakiniku, Soba!!
The people in Japan are also extremely nice. Especially Osaka!

日本食が大好きです。納豆や豆腐、チキンカツ、カツ丼、牛丼、焼肉、そば　など
日本の人々もとても素敵です。特に大阪は！

＜Question３＞
How about our company and your work?

仕事についてはどうですか？

＜Answer＞
Power Components BU, Overseas Business Team
I am in charge of Overseas Exporting Operations for Panasonic products such as, Tro-reel, Factory Line, and Trolley Duct　for China, Taiwan, South Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, India, and more.

私はパワー機器ビジネスユニットの海外営業推進チームに所属しています。
トロリール、ファクトリーラインシステム、トロリーダクトといったパナソニック製品を
中国や台湾、韓国、フィリピン、シンガポール、インドネシアなどのアジア諸国に輸出する管理業務を行っています。

 

＜Question４＞
How about the Impulse?
インパルスについてはどう思いますか？

 

I love this Impulse team very much. I love my co-workers that I have entered the company with as well very much.
I have met a lot of great people since being on this football team, and I am very thankful for all of them.

私はインパルスをとても愛しています。特に同期が大好きです。
私はこのチームに所属してたくさんの素晴らしい方々に出会いました。そして彼ら全員にとても感謝しています。

 

＜Question５＞
What is your target for football this year?

今年のフットボールの目標について教えてください。

＜Answer＞
Target for this year is obviously to win the "Rice Bowl". I do not care about individual stats.

今年も目標は言うまでもなくライスボウルで勝つことです。個人記録は気にしていません。

 

＜Question６＞
Please tell me the message for impulse fan.
インパルスのファンにメッセージをどうぞ！

 

＜Answer＞
My message is thank you all very much for all the love and support that you have given our team. As a team, we
will continue to get better with every practice as this season gets deeper and deeper into more important games.
Our motto "BREAK THROUGH." speaks for itself and we will not stop until we get back to playing in the RICE BOWL!

Continue to bring your enthusiasm and energy to our football games because us players feed off of our fans!

私は私達のチームを愛してくれて協力してくれる全ての人に本当に感謝しています。
私達は今シーズン、重要な試合を重ねると共に、毎練習よりよい練習を続けていくつもりです。
私達のモットーは「ブレイクスルー」です。ライスボウルでプレーするまでは立ち止まりません！
私達の試合に皆様の情熱やエネルギーを今後もよろしくお願いします。

さあ続いては＃９９ダフィ選手です。

＜Question１＞
 why did you come to japan ? and when did you come to japan?
なぜ日本にきたのですか？いつ日本にきたのですか？

 

＜Answer＞
 When I joined my college in America I decided I wanted to study abroad for a year. Anywhere was ok, I just wanted a unique adventure for a year. Then once I heard I could play football in Japan, I made Japan my first choice. I was accepted into Waseda`s 1 year study abroad program. During my first year we lost to Hosei University in the 5th overtime. I wanted another chance at beating Hosei and to win the Rice Bowl so I decided to quit my American university and start all over at Waseda.
 I came to Japan in August 2008.

私はアメリカの大学に通っていた時、一年だけ留学したいと決めました。その場所はどこでもよかったです。
私はたった一年間の冒険をしたかったのです。それから私は日本でアメリカンフットボールをプレーすることができると聞きました。私は日本にいくことを第一希望にしました。そして私は早稲田大学へ留学生として通うことになりました。
留学した最初の年、早稲田大学は５回のオーバータイムで法政大学に負けました。
私はもう一度法政大学を倒すチャンスが欲しかったです。そしてライスボウルで勝ちたかったので、
私はついにアメリカの大学を辞めて早稲田大学に編入しました。
それが２００８年の８月でした。

日本で好きなものは何ですか？例えば食物やスポットなど何でもOKです。

 

＜Answer＞

 I like learning about traditional Japan and going to places like Kyoto.
I also like how safe and clean Japan is. Another great thing is that if you forget a valuable in a public area, it is very likely that someone will return it to the police.

私は伝統的な日本について学ぶことが好きです。京都のような場所に行くことが好きです。
また日本は安全で綺麗なところも好きです。
もう一つ大きなことはもし公共の場所で貴重品を落としても誰かが警察に届けてくれるような親切なところが好きです。

仕事についてはどうですか？

＜Answer＞

Marketing Team, Global Operations Group, Lighting BU.
I am in charge of lighting products for Philippines, Australia and New Zealand. I support those sales teams with various things such as catalogs, WEB content, sending samples, etc.

ライティング機器ビジネスユニットの海外マーケティング推進チームに所属しています。
私はフィリピンやオーストラリアやニュージーランドの照明器具のマーケティングを担当しています。
私は営業担当者へカタログやWEBコンテンツ、ｻﾝﾌﾟﾙの配送など様々なｻﾎﾟｰﾄをしています。

how about the impulse?
インパルスについてどう思いますか？

＜Answer＞
I am very happy to join such a team as Impulse. I am very grateful to meet all the Impulse members.

インパルスの一員として所属できて私はとても幸せです。私はインパルスの全員に出会えて本当に嬉しいです。

＜Question５＞

what is your target for football this year ?
今年のフットボールの目標について教えてください。

＜Answer＞

To win the Rice Bowl and eat enough peanut butter to become 120 kilos!

ライスボウルで勝つこととピーナッツバターを食べて１２０ｋｇになることです！

インパルスのファンにメッセージをどうぞ！

 

＜Answer＞

Thank you for all your support. We really appreciate it!  We will work hard to capture our common goal of becoming the best in Japan and winning the Rice Bowl.  Every game from here will be BIG, your support will give us that extra push to come out on top!

たくさん協力ありがとうございます。私達は本当に感謝しています。
私達は日本で一番になるという共通の目標を達成するためにハードな練習に取り組みます。
そしてライスボウルで勝利します。

これから全てのゲームが大一番です。皆様の協力が私達を頂点に押し上げてくれるでしょう。
いつも応援ありがとうございます。また試合会場でお会いしましょう。ゴーブルー、ゴーインパルス！

 

ということでモトゥとダフィについて少しだけ知っていただけましたでしょうか？
もっともっと知りたいという方は試合会場で是非直接話しかけてみてください。

実は二人とも日本語がペラペラなので日本語でも英語でも問題ないです！
できれば英語で話しかけてみましょう。

ちなみに私は勉強の意味でできるだけ英語で話すようにしています。
よく変な英語で笑われてしまいますが。。。汗
