SPAN Setting Procedure（GA-MU/XG-MU Series）(for WEB)

Introduction

In this setting example, we will explain the SPAN settings for the GA-MU & XG-MU series.

Applicable models

Overview

SPAN (Switched Port Analyzer) is a function that copies packets sent and received on a specific interface to another interface.
It is used when performing analysis with a network analyzer.

Configuration Example

Explanation

Copies packets transmitted and received on port 9 to port 1.

Setting Procedure

Step 1.

Connect the PC to the LAN port of the switching hub.

Step 2.

On the login screen, enter the User Name and Password to log in to the Web interface.

Step 3.

Set the destination interface of the monitoring session (Port: 1).

CONFIGURE > Port Settings > Mirror

Step 4.

Select the destination interface of the monitoring session and click Edit (Port: 1).

Step 5.

Select the source interface of the monitoring session (Port: 9) and enable it.
