The Panasonic IMPULSE defeated the Elecom Kobe Finies 42-2 en route to becoming Champions of the 61st Green Bowl Tournament, held every spring amongst members of the X League's West Division.

IMPULSE RB #33 Shun "Karate Kid" Yokota kicked the day off in high gear with a couple of impressive runs, capping the IMPULSE's opening drive off with a 3 yard touchdown run.

Later in the 1st Quarter, IMPULSE QB #8 Tetsuo "Iron Man" Takata connected with WR #15 Tatsuya Tonka on an electrifying pass play that gave the IMPULSE an early 14-0 lead over the Finies. The IMPULSE failed to convert on a few drives following their fast start on offense, ending 6 drives with field goal attempts from the IMPULSE’s brotherly kicking duo, K #11 Eita Saeki and K #16 Shintaro Saeki, 5 of which were successful.

RB #25 Hiroaki "Michael J Fox" Suga had the best offensive performance of the day running for the IMPULSE, finishing with a total of 147 yards on 14 carries including a crowd pleasing 81 yard run in the 2nd Quarter.

The IMPULSE defense also performed well, particularly against the run, allowing the Finies to pick up a total of only 4 yards on the ground. The Finies finished with 164 yards passing which brought their total offensive output to 168 yards on the day. The Finies lone 2 points came as a result of a safety picked up by their defense early in the 4th Quarter.
